This mid-morning session for college students is an opportunity to meet a human resources professional, and learn tips on networking, salary negations, targeting companies, and choosing career directions.

Meet The Speaker, Jim Long

Jim Long has over 18 years of experience in human resources and operations management.  His area of expertise is in employment, where he has interviewed more than 5,000 people and has been responsible for hiring and negotiating salaries for over 2,000 positions.

Jim graduated from UCSD with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned an MBA from Point Loma Nazarene University.  He works in Human Resources at Point Loma Nazarene University, where he’s responsible for staff employment, training, compensation, and employee relations.  He also teaches human resources management for Azusa Pacific University’s MBA program.
