John M. Wheeler, Executive Consultant to CEO's and business owners and San Diego Convene Chair, John's extensive experience includes organizational and key leader development.

Caye Barton Smith, Psy.D., Vice President for Student Development, Point Loma Nazarene University, Caye has an impressive background leading health and wellness initiatives as well as personal insights as a busy working mom.

Joon S. Han, Founder Better San Diego, Joon has been challenging and inspiring groups for over 20 years seeing leaders grow from very busy to very effective.

Presenter Bios:

John M. Wheeler
John is an executive consultant to CEO's and owners of businesses ranging in size from two to forty million in annual revenues.  For the past eight years the focus of his consulting has been organizational and key leader development, with an emphasis on business culture as a critical success factor to long-term sustainable growth and value creation.  He has served as the Chair of the San Diego Convene group for over six years leading Christian CEO's in the process of building successful companies that take social responsibility to a much higher level.

Previous responsibilities include sixteen years as a business banker and investment sales manager which has provided a fundamental understanding of financial disciplines and real world perspective to the consulting process.  He has served as Treasurer for a non-profit organization for eight years, as well as board positions in several organizations including three years as an elder and five years as a deacon at his church.  He completed his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana in May 1982.

John has been living and working in the San Diego area since 1983.  He has been married for over 20 years and has four children, two in high school and two in middle school.  The entire family is active in sports and in the summer time they enjoy surfing and other beach related activities.  John's coaching activities include club basketball teams in the community recreational programs.

Joon S. Han

Joon has been developing leaders for over 19 years and implementing strategic systems thinking since 1996.  Serving organizations ranging from Fortune 20, world-class universities, Inc 500 and innovative internet retail, international collegiate leadership groups, top-notch tech, and regional non-profits as well as smaller businesses.  This unique cross-section of industry experience allows him to bring an innovative and time-tested perspective to every results-driven client solution.

Author of the upcoming book, Get Ahead by Giving Back, he is also the creator and lead instructor of The Magic Biz BoxT, the in-demand, on-demand course for small business leaders.  Joon contributes pertinent business articles for various publications and radio and serves as President of the non-profit, Hope in the City, focused on leadership development and systemic solutions for the City Heights community.  

Graduating from UCSD with a BS in Molecular Biology, Joon and his wife reside in San Diego.
